Sigurdsson, Long, Hunt - were they not foreign?

Lower West
3points what do players like John and Hurtado bring that Stacey, Fosu and Tanner don't other than senior experience (but not in English football)? I'm not sure

Youngsters won't win us promotion soon enough for the Thais.

Neither will John and Hurtado if they don't even make a match day squad! Fernandez was just not up to it tonight either.

strap
McDermolenko I presume you read my post on welcoming our foreign fans and appreciating them before deciding to create this.

You ruddy racist.

Has this guy had the traditional HNA welcome yet?

Just to be on the safe side - oxf*rd off Newbie.

And there is the rub. Short termist transfer policy in the summer has lumbered us wit this weak-spirited team because the Thais are impatient to flog more advertising to their audience back home.

Hahnemann
Murty, Ingimarrson, Sonko, Shorey
Little, Harper, Sidwell, Convery
Doyle, Kitson

7 English/british isles players.

Bond
Obita, Hector, McShane, Gunter
HRK, Norwood, Williams, Piazon
Blackman, Vydra

8 English/ British isles players.

I'd suggest its the type of player you have, not their nationality that matters.

True but the Jay Tabbs,Phil Parkinsons and Adie Williams of this world are unlikely to be setting the world alight in lower leagues. (Ngolo Kante excepted). Hard to stand out in a holding role in a crap league.

At this level its the excitement of the Hurtados, Kebes, Matejovskys that make you take a gamble on an overseas transfer.

I think we have plenty of characters in this squad, regardless of nationality. McShane, Williams, Sa... Unfortunately that passion is more combustible than reliable. When we had the calming prescence of Tshibola and/or Quinn in the middle we were much better.

But for me the regular changing of the goalkeeper has been the issue. Unsettles the whole side.

It's not that they are foreign. It's too many loanees that don't truly care about the team or what happens at the end of the season, because they'll be off at the end of it, back to a bigger club (Taylor excepted).

Why does everyone rave about Tshibola? He's 20 and he's played 12 games for us! He hasn't played a full season of professional football!

Get real m8

Gus the teenage cow We have exotic players. We are a championship team. We need less exotic players. We need more grafters. We have the balance wrong. We are unbalanced both positionally and geo-politically. We need characters. We lack characters. We need more McShanes and less Piazons. We need to understand the division. We have too many exotic foreigners.

Forget the foreigner thing as Paul McShane is a foreigner and you could argue that the likes of Gunter and HRK are too since they all originate/represent countries other than England....... If Piazon and co were English we'd probably be having the same discussion, so that means this has nothing to do with nationality and all about player suitability.
