Shorey for me - up against Dyer - didn't give him a sniff all night!

Sir Nicholas of the Shorey appears to be taking the golden biscuit but nobbers give a firm thumbs down soggy dunker for the Gunnar/Oster less than dynamic midfield duo.

'Twas Shorey for me too. Owen (who on the whole looked sharp) caused a few early problems early on, loosing his markers but didn't beat Shorey once. A very composed display and a good defensinve display as a unit.

Very dissapointed in the CM pairing, arguably the two weakest palyers in the side last night which was highlighted by our painful inability to hold on to possesion at times. Those who criticise Harper and call Sidwell overhyped must surely see how valueble they are to us.

Seol had a better game and actually got some tackles in. A run in the side seems to be doing him some good. And it was good to see Kits on the scoresheet again, hopefully that's the confidence boost he needs, as he looked sharper almost immediately after the goal.

I think it's more the case that there were just better players on show, although i thought Oster was probably our worst player but was still okish.

i thought the oyster did well and showed alot more to his game than usual
still loses possession a bit, but had some good touches, and ran his heart out
was better than brynn in my opinion

he did ok

It's where he loses possession that is the main problem, however.

Also picked up by Sky that it was his slowness in coming out that gave Ameobi the free header he should have scored from.

My man of the match was Titus Bramble.

Mr Entertainment last night; every time the ball went to his feet, you knew something funny was going to happen.

If you didn't know better, you would think he was some boke who had won a quiz in a Newcastle paper to be a player for a day.

Truly, utterly, and hilariously woeful.

The man is stealing a living. He must wake up every morning look at his latest pay slip and laugh himself silly.

Harper quite clearly did not like the ball at feet.

My favourite moment was his classic cricket stance on one.

I voted Seol. The cross to setup the winner was great, but more than anything, I thought he ran back to help the defense more than I have ever seen him.

De La Cruz for me. Oh and Sibierski for Newcastle, when he was on the pitch.
