Er...acutally Herbert Smith was a left full-back. Looked in Heaven On Earth this morning. Alan Sednuary describes him as our 'greatest ever player' (or words to that effect). He was the captain of the team despite being the only amatuer in a team of professionals. Also our most capped England international (to date).

If you still hate Futcher Obviously have to vote for the current incumbent because of all the things he brings to the team - although I wanted to vote for Stevie Rich, if only for the voice and the joy in seeing him score against Ipshit away on the last day of the season ( too many years ago now to remember which one )
