It highlights what a great job Coppell has done but I don't buy all the talk of players not wanting to come here. Players would give their right arm for a chance at a top half Premiership side.

The simple truth is off the pitch we're operating on a tiny budget and we won't pay the going rate for decent players.

Daniella I just can't see any reason why we haven't signed players. There is still a loan system you know, or had everyoen forgotten that?
Why have we not got players in when the whole effing world can see we need additions.

Unless we alter our wages policy we will never be able to compete for players in the transfer market and thats why we will lose the likes of Lita and Shorey eventually like we did Sidwell

Sorry, who is advocating going out and spending £80m?

Given our financial position, low wage bill, the fact we spent fcuk all last year, ticket price increases and the extra income from the new TV deal this season there should be plenty of money available.

I can`t help comparing us to Wigan, they get 15,000 home gates, their season tickets are around £350, yet they can attract players, can only think their wage policy is spot on

One game a season does not make. The boys sounded like they were tired out there and just weren't up to it today, and remember we had a lot of regulars missing. Murty for instance would never have allowed the arguing that was going on after the second goal. Next week will be different you mark my words.

Ok, I know, I'll leave this thread and not return.

We just need a right winger. What worries me is we've known that all summer and despite Coppell's claims he's happy with the squad, there's no way we haven't tried to bring players in. Coppell said 4-5 players and specifically wingers at the end of last season. So we've prob tried to get players like Koumas in, but the likes of Wigan beat us in the market.

The Chairmans ripping us all of.

With 10 players away on international duty this match was always going to be a hard to get any points from.West Ham next week will hopefully be a hammering for the hammers.

All i wish was, that Copps would bloody get a move on with signing some decent players to fill the gap on the RW and RB, because Murts will be retiring soon and then we will have bollocks all at RB. Little is out, Oster quality player but a central midfielder and so we have no one on the wing who is proven to be quality.

Whole load of bollocks what i just wrote, just pissed off after losing to BoLOLton

Jesus!

What is wrong with 90% of the people that post on here?!?!?

We have played well 3 outo of 4 games, today we didnt play our best, but when we do we can compete with the best - just look at the Chelsea game.

We have a great squad and the players Coppell has signed are good players who will do well in the premiership.

We wont go down.

I cannot believe some people. They are going to be made to look so stupid, because next week they will probably reacting in exactly the opposite way.

Fickle fans, just bite your lip, take a reality check.

4 games in, 8 players injured and 10 players who played internationals on wednesday. Away to bolton is never going to be easy.

URZ.

I really do think we'll end up with a new players next week, if we can afford it. I refuse to think Coppell couldn't see the potential problems on the right at the start of the summer, when we knew we'd be starting the seasons with Seol and Oster. We've just not been able to compete in the transfer market. You'd think a loan would be ideal, but Coppell doesn't like them for some reason.

I can't remember, but what was the reaction to the games against Watford last year> We dropped 4 points to a team to which the description 'average' would be a compliment. With all the reasons people have said, Bolton were always going to give us a game today. And they did. They outplayed us (by all accounts). I blame Bikey. After a 24 hour flight back after his international, arriving back in the country on Friday (I think) he really should have been ready today.

In those circumstances I know that I'd perform magnificently in my job.

And people suggesting we could do with one more player is hardly doom and gloom is it? No one has said anything about relegation or us not being good enough at this level. Just that on the right wing, we are short one player, which when your best winger potentially could never players again is hardly a controversial statement.

Let me just think a second. Have we played a team that finished below us last season yet?
Before the season started I expected to struggle with the first 4 games. To have 4 points is actually quite good.
I was at the game today, see the thread "back from the game". We lost because they played better than they have all season and we played worse than we have all season. We also played too much in the air and were soundly beaten for height.

And from what I saw today we have a great right winger. he is called Kevin Doyle. So now we just need a striker.
PS. Lita looked 1st class when he came on. Glad he is fit again.

This is exactly why I rarely bother to even browse the team forum, let alone post. Lose a game did we?

I've always doubted Coppell. Tommy Burns can expect a letter this week pleading him to come back.
