I thought he actually went in a little dangerously for the foul as well, definately a bit of intent there following the build up to it. I don't mind that too much to be fair, but once it's been given he has to take his medicine and get on with the game.
I didn't like the petulance, but the willingness to put his foot in was nice to see.

Whilst it was a blatant show of petulance, I'm pretty sure that a player doesn't have to go to the referee if summoned (so long as he doesn't start walikng away). Certainly used to be the case (unless the ruloes have been changed).

Well, actually he does. What the referee decides to do if he doesn't walk to him is open to his own interpretation
