Sounds as though BFS is trying to build a siege mentality. Problem is half the tabloid sports journals are whammers and it is them he is trying to say are against them and him in particular! Clueless and desperate.

Cool heads on Saturday. All it requires, really.

If the Cockernees are w*nking themselves into a fulminating stew over the pantomime aspect of a game in which they were pretty shit then you know they can't have enjoyed their trip to Reading in December.

Absolute cold detachment and professionalism required from Reading players on Saturday, and nothing more.

That's when this team seems to be at its most productive.

All the pressure is on the Tubby Isaacs XI.

Good stuff.

I had to edit my Roman numerals there. I'd originally put 'IX".

Who'd end up with nine players on the pitch?

Oh...

Oh yes, indeed.
Meanwhile, in the Sir Trevor Brooking Stand, I suspect cold detachment will be the last thing on our minds.

"Pull your socks up
Pull your socks up
Pull your socks up for the lads"

... and who fancies helping the Hammers fans by starting a "Paulo Di Canio" chant?

Heh. TBF, I don't think they need much more winding-up now, judging by some of the comments on KUMB.

Sign of the times in East London really, when ranting about a team that has spent most of its history playing in a garden shed with a lawn in the bottom two divisions seems to cause such ire.

One of the joys of watching us across the decades.

Anyway, I'll be down the road in Whitechapel having a light ale in the Cockney Philosopher theme pub.

It's called the Fakkin' Kant.

Cheers.

Exactly. Preparation for this one is far more key than usual I think, get the players heads right i.e. as per above and we'll have an improved chance. Keep it quiet and calm and let West Ham feel the pressure should be the byword for Reading.

Some mong on KUMB And I actually give Collison right for that challenge to Kebe's knee. He asked for it. You simply cannot do that. It's not fair play, it's disgusting.

Please listen to Gibbs:

However, Royals fans have already been planning their ow take on the matter atUpton Park to crank up the atmosphere even further.

An internet-based campaign was started over the weekend to try and inspire the 3,000 fans to bring a sock to east London and wave it in the air as a taunt towards the Hammers.

But Gibbs added: “It’s a tough place to go without trying to encourage them even more, so I would advise against that personally.”

What he meant was "FFS, have a look at yourselves will you?"

+ about 1,000,000, concentrate on VOCALLY supporting the Reading team and be positive in urging the players on. That will speak volumes above silly gimmicks and if the first 20-25 minutes can be weathered the West Ham fans will start getting frustrated. Waving socks about will just distract them from that.

I'm going to stay home, listen to the radio, and occasionally pull my socks up when nobody is looking

They used to be intimidating... apparently. No-one has ever said that to me other than a West Ham fan though.

Might sit in the home end for this one and just start booing at the first misplaced pass, they'll all probably join in after a while.

I've just had a look a KUMB. OMG, seriously, I can't believe some of the shit I've just read!

I know we have our fair share of mongs - but their ratio is much, much higher
