urz13 Well we're not going to be upping or not upping the bid anyway as there was no bid in the first place!!

Poor.

Don't understand this. Last thing I'll say on it, you don't have to believe me but we have not submitted a bid for him.

And again, you know this how?

I'm not expecting names of sources, but some idea other than "because I say so" if you want to be considered even remotely credible.

Through a source, who I rarely meet, but I guarantee is reliable and correct. I know that doesn't hold up to much but I can't say more without revealing him.

Just sharing what I know anyway.

And Bayern, Aston Villa and Genk scouts also last week. We are losing him or just moved on to another target.

Well that'll teach us for going in so cheap and then walking away hoping to get away with playing the waiting game.

I should imagine we were alive to the possibility of other clubs showing an interest in the player...

Ideal 7 goals in 4 matches. The guy is on fire.

Glad we seem out of it then. It takes ages to recover from serious burns.

There were scouts from Everton, Ipswich and Anderlecht watching Mr Sigurdarson yesterday. So, still a Lillestrøm player and probably going to Ipswich. Oh, and TV2 in Norway said so about the scouts before anyone asks.

@Mortskaa: I think we will see a move on #Sigurdarson in a couple of days. Have to move fast. Staale and Reading in Norway atm. #wwfc #ReadingFC .

The talk is that it will now take £4m to get him.

Very good read:

If your either a Fulham, Everton, Wolverhampton, Reading, Ipswich, Anderlecht or Hannover fan. Your club is interested in Björn Bergmann Sigurdarson.

You Reading fans have known about this for a while and the rumor says that Lillestrom declined a £1m bid for him earlier this year. Well, Reading should have come up with £2m right after that. This man ain't gonna be cheap. The marketvalue are now £4m , but take it as a good sign, that Reading is still using money to watch him every single game.

Wolves
New manager, Staale Solbakken was attending todays match. Wolverhampton know the value, and told the press earlier today that they are more then just interested in the young Icelandic star.
Until now, Sigurdarson have been very short-answered when the press talked to him about the transfer-rumors. Today, when a journalist asked him about what he thinks about Wolves wanting him, he reacted totally different.
- It would be fantastic to work with Solbakken. He is a brilliant manager.
You want to enlighten us?
- No, with a smile

The wolves went from underdogs to favourite in the race for Sigurdarson today.
Everton, Reading and Anderlecht need to be considered as likely to sign him to.

NOTE: If Lillestrom accepts the offer of all the clubs. The choice will be between Wolves and Reading for Sigurdarson personally. His larger brothers recomend Reading. His team-mates recomends Wolves and Solbakken.

Who is this man?
Here is a video from last year. (He have gotten much better)

Info:
Björn Bergmann Sigurdarson, Lillestroem:

Age: 21
Pos: Attacker - playmaking targetman (funny)
Right/Left: Both legs

The Icelandic international have reached the big clubs lips the last couple of years. Most likely the biggest talent in scandinavia in many years. More talent then Ajax' danish international, Christian Eriksen. AC Milan, Reading, Ipswich, Liverpool, Wolverhampton, Everton, Auxerre, Ajax, Feyernoord, Mallorca, Real Zaragoza, Athletico Madrid is just a couple of the clubs who have watched him the last couple of years. Reading,
He's strong, pace, tall, have a great eye for the game and excellent passing skills. He's a typical target man. He struggled to score in the beginning of the season but everything looks better now with seven goals in the last four games.
The young lad have everything. It's harder to look for weekness' then skills.

Local media in Liverpool say Everton have entered talks with Lilleström for the player. Apparently Anderlecht are also in touch.

Hope we're still interested!
