Jackson Corner Regardless of the goals or points they have given QPR. The point I was trying to make was the transfer embargo was no punishment for there overspending. They were still able to splash cash on loan signings. Why did they not get a points deduction?

Agree it is farcical. A ban should mean a ban, end of.

I also note Wednesday, Villa and Derby are perilously close to sinking beneath FFP rules so presume only selling in the summer will save them from points deduction and bans?

windermereROYAL EFL bottled it, take enough points off them to leave them quite comfortably above the drop zone. no real punishment at all this? that`ll teach em.

It was an independent committee who made the decision not the EFL. The EFL petitioned for 12 points but the committee decided on 9.

Brum's lawyers argued for just 6 points so looks like the committee plumped for the middle ground.

Think we may be able to add Forest to that list if they don't go up. They spent well over £20m in the summer, just 2 seasons after being given a transfer ban for overspending.

Hey, we can relax - according to Sky Sports and Football Manager '19, we are already safe

https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... ship-table

and will pick up 14 points from the last 24.

Leeds will bottle it and it will be incredibly funny to watch. Dont think we will be that far above the drop zone, I'll be ecstatic if we are

Unbeaten in the final 5 games?

I'd poo-poo it but as the points total matches what I said on the "where will we finish" thread I'd say it's an extremely scientific way of showing exactly what will happen

Unbeaten in the last 5 would be quite something having to go to Bristol City and Middlesbrough.

I will more than happily take our last defeat of the season being at Norwich though!

Great - Brum get dragged down into it and immediately start performing.

At the start of March Brum were three points off the play offs. They just might a couple of points outside the relegation zone inside a month.

Birmingham aren’t a particularly good team, they’re just efficient, 4-4-2 with everyone knowing their roles, find it almost impossible that they’ll be relegated. It’ll be 100% us or Wigan, mark these words

Brum have always been a grotty grey’ team

Nasty nasty nasty set-up, hope that they fail and drop through the leagues

Do they not still have the pitch invader/assault penance thing to pay still?

Personally I quite like Birmingham City due to family supporting connections.

It can still be an intimidating ground to visit in the modern age, some proper sometimes unhinged fans. Keep right on is a great club anthem too and very appropriate for a club that represents true Brummies in the shadow of a deluded more glamorous neighbour.

What is not to like really....

I appreciate it was before football was invented in 1992, but you do remember that the 'deluded' neighbour won the European Cup and spent more years in the top flight than all but one other team
