Paul Merson has a go at Paul Kitson in the Sun or the Star the other day

Brought up the old FA Cup comments in a snippet about Reading players sitting at home watching the FA Cup Final after a season of NOTHING

An unusual one this.

In discussing Labour's loss of Reading Council today, Sky News kept refering to RFC. As well as shot of the mad Stad and an own goal by Duberry, in order to illustrate the team in blue (politically) winning, they showed a goal being scored............................... by QPR!

I'm sure I heard the guy on Sky's football first last night say ;

"It's Paul Kitso...I mean Dave Kitson"

Why I wanted to watch it again is beyond me.

Watching the Wycombe-Southend p/o semi the other day, the Sky commentator said "If Wycombe do go up they've got a local derby with Reading to look forward to next season."

Had they actually been playing Southend that would have been right, of course.

Alright, Stockport. I knew it was some club starting with 'S'.

Not that it really matters, as the commentator wasn't talking about them, just Wycombe.

Did he mean the season after next do you think? B*stard. Why would he think we should be relegated 2 divisions? We weren't THAT bad!

Early in the game, I heard them say they would be playing the likes of Birmingham, Reading and Crystal Palace.

I think you have to be very touchy to regard not being mentioned in a list of bigger championship clubs as some kind of slight against Reading.

Quite apart from anything else, despite us having a two year stint in the premiership, our match isn't going to be one that Doncaster fans will be looking forward to - at least not any more than the amont that Reading fans were overcome with excitement at the thought of playing newly-relegated Oldham early in 1994/5.

What if we are 30 points clear of the rest by Christmas? It would be every team's Cup Final to play against us 8)

Turns8
pearcetom did i just hear that on motd 2? STEVE HARPER!?

you did indeed...

I've heard James Harper called Steve by the media so many times since he joined the club. Who is this player that everyone gets him mixed up with? The only one I can think of is Newcastle's Goalkeeper so surely can't be him!

Unless we were attempting to murder goalkeepers.
