Wow, club already under embargo gets put under an embargo until accounts get posted, so what's the difference?

The filing says that it is confirmation by a company that it’s activities are legal.

From the RFC accounts thread in the policies forum….

El Diablo
Royals and Racers Posting from the City today- confirmation statement on 8th December- whatever that is ?

Its a stat doc thats required to be filed yearly which confirms the business has not had any material changes to it, and is still required. . ( registered address, etc)

If you don't file it Co House can start a removal process, fine /prosecute etc etc

Costs about £20 to file it. Good to see we can afford that.

The Price of Football podcast today released an interview on Reading FC’s financial woes examined by Yuan Yang, Labour MP for Woodley & Earley.

Not listened to it yet

From what I know of Yuan Yang, she’s from a Chinese family, an economist, former journalist for the Financial Times, lives locally and a Labour MP….. possibly the perfect combination to analyse the situation.

Tim Vine Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger sister, Yuan Yang. But I think it's Colin.

Somebody pay to get her over to China so she can speak to Mr Dai and get to the bottom of the entire mess. Might as well have an MP do something useful and constructive for a change.

He seems to have been noticeable absent since Brogue moderated that.

Run off with his tail between his legs presumably.

You suggesting it won’t progress the sale of the club?

Forbury Lion Although, they can privatize public services... imagine how popular that might be if they seized the club and assets associated with it (even those in different companies) and then appointed someone to run it and sell it to a new group. The owner then gets whatever's left from the sale proceeds after all other expenses including running costs, which may be nothing or could even be a bill which if they don't pay they can seize further assets.

Very unpopular for wasting millions of tax payers money on a club 99.9% of country couldn't give a flying oxf*rd about

Agree - Gordon Brown was very unpopular for bailing out 2 major privately owned banks which was you could argue in the national interest.

He also sold.thr gold for rock bottom price

On the understanding the rest of Europe would do the same. It was a great idea. Except the rest of Europe are pcunts. So maybe the idea did have a flaw.

And it meant our reserves weren’t all piled into one thing. The idea was sound, execution and circumstances not so good.

I'm seeing this more like seizing all of the owners assets in this country, If the government can seize the stadium and training ground and null and void any claims Chinese banks have on them then they can make a nice profit selling them to the next owner of Reading Football Club which would more than cover any tax owed.
