Royal Prince Genuine question; does leaving early make it feel any better?

Yes watching it was tortuous and I couldn't stand watching any more. Leaving relieved the pain.

When Wigan fans are singing "we want 4" you it's time to leave.

I have no shame in admitting I left with 15 to go, jumped in a cab and was in Oneils in time for the rugby Kick off. Lovely.

I can also say that sitting in the South stand has to be one of the worst experiences one can have at a football match. Never, EVER again.

+1.

Didn't leave at half time though like a few of the lads.

Royal Lady I think he's saying that anyone who left early was a tosser. There were 22,000 in the ground at 80 mins and only 9,000 left at the final whistle. I think he should be applauded for counting them tbf.

Clever chap, and demomstrates why he isn't in the same class as me at school.

I left before the final whistle. I wouldn't say I left early though, as there was almost no one left to watch me walk out. By the time I got to my car the queue to get out of Green Park and Costco was already well formed.

Didn't leave but went to grab a leisurely coffee after they got the 3rd. No way I was making it through the second half without something to remedy the freezing temperature.

I left early to go to Tenerife. It's warmer there.

maffff I might leave at half time tomorow just so I can post in this thread.

FTR, I stayed until the end. Perhaps I should have gone at half time, though.

Who cares if people missed the goal? You don't pay to see the goal, you pay to see 90+ mins of professional football, of which goals sometimes play a part.

I just about made it back to see the goal but tbh I didn't really care - it was a 0-0 game all day long and an unlikely winner didn't exactly ignite the flames of passion.

True.
I'd never leave a game early. But in recent months in certain games I have had a real itching to just oxf*rd off home early.
Would I really have been that bothered if I'd left 15 minutes early against Yeovil and missed a penalty? I doubt it.

If it's a deserved late goal after a decent match then that's one thing. A crappy goal at the end of a snoozefest is not something I'm going to jump up and down celebrating for anymore. I just can't be arsed to pretend to be excited.

What annoyed me was the 6' 3" dickhead who decided to leave, then stopped right in front of me to watch the free kick/goal.
