hoddle would be the best bet to remould the direction of your club.has the contacts and the football brain both to galvanise and install a working model.

He was a MASSIVE success in his last job at Wolves :|

And interestingly no chairman has touched him 7 years or so since.

maffff Don't want Owen "Columba" Coyle.

Yes I'm still bitter about Wembley '95.

He was on the Monday Night Club on 5Live last night and apparently knows McDermott very well. I don't think he'd be a bad appointment.

It took me a long time to get over Wembley, but having now surpassed that day (twice) with spells in the Prem I think it's time to look past that, especially as he's a manager now and not a player.

Isn't that cos he's been concentrating on his academy in Spain?

You could say the same about Curbishley that everyone is banging on about - if he is so good, why has he been out of a job for 5 years?

My Dad is a Wolves season ticket holder so I've wittnessed the football played under Hoddle first hand.

It really isn't as good as you think!!!!

Lots of sideways passing along the back 4 and not much in attacking intent. He REALLY is NOT the answer.

Tim Dellor's Twitter feed I'm told little chance of a new long term manager being appointed before Thursday

No major surprises there I guess, but does suggest no one is immediately in the frame for the job, so may not have been a predetermined sacking, or that Di Canio was necessarily lined up and there watching us for any particular reason.

+1 to this. I know loads of Wolves fans, and they would agree.

Hoddle is nothing like Rodgers even if they both like to keep the ball. At least under Rodgers they try to do something...

The Rouge I cant find prices for the 2 I wanted to bet on - E Dolan and Advocaat - can anyone?

If you are looking for a bit of value then Coral seem to have lost the plot at the moment.

They have Nigel Gibbs as 10/1

And even though DI Matteo is as short as evens with some, Coral have him at 20/1

Thursday is only the day after tomorrow. From firing on to hiring on Thursday would be quite quick suggesting someone is already lined up.

I'm hoping that the longer it goes on the less chance it will be Di Canio. Alternatively, they have someone in mind but don't want to put them in place until after the Man U and Arsenal games so they have a chance of a good start. Ugh.

nope. under rodgers we passed it across the back four until in dull and endless repetition we gave the ball away, conceded and lost the game.
