Winston Biscuit
Zip Massive massive win. At 2-3 I went for a shave as I just couldn’t bear it

Well it worked. You now need to start shaving each time we are in the lead, whether you are at the stadium of noise or following at home

Taking the shaver to Tuesday’s game. I’m claiming the three points Winst.

Staggered we won a game... First 25 mins of Peterborough game looked like dead men walking... The manager, the players... Let's hope they feel a little bit of belief otherwise this will just be a little tease before relegation...

I’ve not watched the game, nor have I read anything on here.

I simply do not care how well or otherwise we played … I’ll take the win

Hull are not really out of reach, 8 behind with a game in hand.

The sooner bbc get rid of Rita the better. She’s thick as mince and can’t read aloud. Dreadful woman.

genome I'll never understand this weird willing your team to lose thing that a few of the Twitter crowd do.

Regardless of how I feel about the manager, I want the team to win at the end of the day ffs. Heck, I would like Pauno to do well, if he possibly can at all.

I just don't understand what some people get out of football if their attitude towards it is one of complete misery

Think it was Ian who put it quite well in an earlier post. It's just a constant stream of shite that has turned a lot of people against the club. Many of us feel like the club don't care about us so why should we care about them? A lot of people want the manager to go too, that won't happen if we win. Personally I don't want my own team to lose but I can see the advantages of it should it happen.

I guess my desire for Reading to win is higher than my desire for Pauno to go.

There's also the separate issue of the fact that it doesn't look like Pauno will go regardless. He would've been sacked by now if he was going to go. So, we might as well support the team.

A win is nice, but when you are expecting to throw it away and know its a fleeting moment in endless shit that prolongs the agony, I can't say it's very appealing.

windermereROYAL Second yellow or straight red?

Straight red, shit challenge, 3 game ban.

Straight red isn't automatically a 3 game ban.

Dangerous tackles or violent conduct is 3, second yellow or professional foul is 1, dissent 2.

She is utterly hopeless and takes forever to say something. She isn’t really a football fan. You can tell. Mick Gooding is little better. Turns up without a teamsheet and says stuff like Derby are down after our game with them which was utterly stupid.

Er…. that’s not a good idea, even with the wink. Derby would be 3 points closer (assuming the administration points still apply)

Studs high. Should be three match ban for Lawrence.
Shame Hull got a point. Eight points clear from us from a game more. Could do with dragging them into this.

If we get even close to catching Hull we won’t go down.

There, I’ve said it

I wonder what happened to the lad Jack Winstanley (I think that's his name). He was fairly good and was improving.

Quite bemused what a win feels like.

Not sure I believe it.

Please carry on with the pain/tension infliction - that's what I'm used to

Let's be honest. Preston were very poor and they don't score much. And we know we are decent going forward.

We won, but does anyone think that display was much different to the last one where we beat them, or many other games this season where we took the lead?

We still looked panicked at the back. Scrambling around in our box frequently. Conceded a goal immediately after what should have been the killer blow, gifted multiple clear chances and left the side blowing out their arse late on when fresh legs were very obviously needed for about 15 minutes before they were brought on. Plus another defensive injury.

It's not a corner turned, it's a slightly better performance against a blunt team with all the same errors as normal.

Once again, I find myself not really thinking the criticism of Holmes is fair. He follows his man, which he either has to hand over to someone in midfield or do, otherwise he's letting someone go unchallenged for the ball 30 odd yards from goal. Drinkwater doesn’t track the midfield runner. Morro and Yiadom don't tuck in until too late. I'm not sure there's a better play from Holmes there.
