Monaco's starting XI next season could well end up looking like this

GK: Víctor Valdés

DF: Bacary Sagna, Ricardo Carvalho, Branislav Ivanović, Georgios Tzavelas

MID: Joao Moutinho, Jakob Poulsen, James Rodríguez

ATT: Carlos Tévez, Radamel Falcao, Ángel di María

Can't see them getting Ivanovic or Di Maria, but the rest seem possible.

Has the Falcao deal been confirmed then?

Some big names playing for a club which sometimes average about 5,000 fans.

James (Rodriquez) will play wide of the central striker so would be

(James) Falcao (James)

Admittedly no, but Ivanovic and Di Maria in particular seem unatainable. It's been expected that Falcao would move on for a while, but I think most people assumed it would be to a better team rather than one paying the most. Obviously Moutinho and Rodriguez have already gone, as has Carvalho. Sagna seems disillusioned at Arsenal so that wouldnt be too big a shock, and Tevez going somewhere for cash wouldnt surprise anyone I dont think. If Valdes wants to leave Barca, where would he go apart from somewhere offering a ton of cash?

A selection of properties in the area were cleared of workers etc yesterday to allow house viewings to commence.

Guardian say Liverpool have agreed a fee for Iago Aspas of Celta Vigo, €9m.

All media carrying the story that Suarez is probably on his way, saying it would be 'hard to say no to Real'.

Because a lot of the mentality of Oligarch owners isn't to save money - it's to make public statements of how rich they are and how they can be seen to afford more than their competition.

Maybe their criteria is to get a Russian "name" with PL experience.

I don't really understand all these Middle Eastern teams spending shit loads buying decent players/squads etc - i mean the competitions they enter could probably be won if they just bought players from the Championship
