Joao will probably be injured (again) on Saturday and given Meite was crocked pretty much all of last season I doubt he’s on their radar as yet so not surprised at where their focus is.

Interesting that I can't remember seeing many people predict Blackpool going down this season but their fans are being so negative. FWIW I think Appleton is a pretty decent manager so may be key to them staying up

Not sure their squad is blessed with quality, although I think with the likes of Yates, Bowler, Dale, Andersen and Lavery, they'd have enough goals between that group of players to stay up, Dougall, Madine and others may be able to chip in as well.

They seem to be playing a different style altogether though now. An open, free-flowing attack last season showed they had potential and scored goals, a couple of injuries to those mentioned above and they'd be knackered.

I thought, despite looking better than us, they were shit last season. I'm predicting them down out of spite.

They're not saying a lot, to be honest. Generally thinking that bar the first 20 minutes, they were pretty poor and the penalty decision was maybe or maybe not worthy of a red.
