buzzby SSN say the bid has been withdrawn as Blackpool say he not for sale.

got a link ?

This would not suprise me. Similar to our last 'huge bids' that were derisory.

Remember when we tried to sign Lescott and Gary Cahill ?

Its actually just about to be reported on SSN when they finish with some Man City nobody

Just watching it now.

Well that was a lie.

Hasn't Jonny Fordham confirmed SSN are wrong? Not really a surprise. I don't think we'll get him though. Blackpool want top dollar and owe Liverpool 30% sell-on apparently.

Guess we will find out in just over 48 hours! A result against
Money bags tomorrow would help!

According to our dear club site it seemsnthat we are trying for only 2 more this window.

Must be Blackman and Ince then. Usual guff about the current squad being good enough.
That will only be the case if we stay up! Less will be failure.

We really got to try and get Incey. He is a quality player. The type of player that Reading wouldn't normally be able to capture.

If we did sign this boy, then we know that Reading really do have more muscle now since the Zingarevich takeover.

Providing we are not in massive financial difficulties in a few years time for plundering our resources on players that were really out of our league. If that will be the case, then signing Incey now will just be an illusion of Reading being greater than we really are.

Extended-Phenotype Kudos for Blackpool turning down money and keeping their best players instead of grabbing the cheque and kicking folk out the door like they had AIDS.

Bit easier for them to do it having barely increased their wage bill or spent much in fees when they got promoted. They don't have increased outgoings to cut back or make up for.

They actually did what a lot of our fans accuse us of.

So its 48 hours or so of "yes he is" and "no he isn't" ahead of us before the club finally reveal it was all a smokescreen to unsuccessfully try and nab David Bentley ahead of other clubs.

Tokyo Sex Whale All it does is make the fans think we are willing to spend big money.

FWIW - I don't necessarily think this is what we are doing but it is an angle.

Given it clearly hasn't worked with the fukwits like you. Why would the club bother? It's a total waste of time for no benefit and only likely to fuk off other clubs for future deals.

Ian, i'm intrugued now. Why do you think the club have announced this? When they are usually so secretive ?

I'm wondering if it was becasue Ince wasn't aware that we had made a bid for him?

Because someone got wind of it and the story was all over the press anyway. To put a bit of pressure on Blackpool to make a decision and not fuk us about. To encourage Ince we want him and to put pressure on Blackpool to not stand in his way. All far more convincing than "to shut up a bunch of idiots that it won't shut up".

I have just come all over Mystic Meg, so I am predicting the following

Ince will not sign for us and will end up at a bigger either on Thursday or at the end of the seaon.

The hobnon massive will, until he signs for someone else use the slightest bit of info on twitter or football-rumours.com to convince themselves he will sign for us and thread hits 100 pages..

absolute outrage when signs for some one else with the RTG brigade claiming we can' put our financial future at stake and the negatives who say we should spend spend spend. Thread then hits 150 pages.

We end up making no signings of any note and get relegated.

More outrage as the Hobnob massive will claim the signing of Ince would have kept us up. Thread then up to 200 pages.

Oh and SSN are claiming the offer has been turned down, from the info they have from 1 source, the club themselves have not confirmed anything.
And who are all these SSN sources???

This is old, came up earlier today, nothing on SSN about this now apart from the fella saying "one source tells us Reading have withdrawn their bid but Reading maintain it is still under consideration"

We will not learn the true outcome of the bid until earliest tomorrow, any indications from today are not going to be helpful as we were still awaiting their response at 10am so plenty of time to go back with improved offer(s) if they do reject a first one

Brendan Rodgers will have the last laugh

Use the sell on clause money he gets from the Ince deal, to buy Pearce
