Convey has had about 3 good games in the Premiership in two seasons and was dire again on Tuesday. Hunt I think could play in the middle of the park along with Harper to give us some energy and creation in there, bringing Taylor in on the left. ultimately to take over from Shorey when he leaves in the summer.

Taylor is not a left back and I would be seriously concerned at signing him to play there.

Well i'll take it on the chin but i know for a fact that he could and would have come to RFC if they'd pursued it after agreeing a fee. What a waste, then again i suppose it happens a lot where there are players us fans reckon would be decent but the management don't.

To be honest, I don't care if we have cover in his position or any excuse for why we haven't signed him. Nearly every supporter on here would have loved to have seen him here - relatively large fee, Premiership experience, and a big name. It would have instilled some confidence in the transfer dealings of SC and his team. By your accounts, Reading lost it, not Bolton won it. And this is what gets me the most - that instead of a quality proven Prem player, we have to resort to the risks of players with no experience of the Premiership. And our record in that is not good at all.
