IIRC the club put out a message saying he was just starting to come back and get some minutes under his belt.

U23 are unbeaten in 9 cup games this season.
If the first team had managed that we’d be going to Wembley twice !

F-T 0-2 90th min 2nd for the Toon. Royals had plenty of possession but final 3rd unable to break Newcastle down- another disappointing result.

2 matches in the next 7 days for the U23`s with contrasting importance !
1st up on Friday(22nd) is the final premier league 2 cup qualifying group match away to Fulham KO 2pm. the match is at Motspur park behind closed doors. The Royals have already qualified for the last 16 KO stage whereas victory for Fulham will see them qualify. I can see Reading putting out a really young and inexperienced side !!
Monday the 25th sees a really tricky away tie at Manchester Utd KO 7pm in the QF`s of the Premier league 2 international cup. The Match is being played at the Leigh sports village ground and is live on MUTV. this will mean that there will be streams(Cricfree etc) for us to watch.

Had been hoping to go to the Fulham match as I live near the ground, but 2pm on a Friday?! Who comes up with these kickoff times? Appreciate that it being behind closed doors would have made it tricky for me to watch anyway.

If you can get your name on the gate then you will be ok- mate of mine managed to get in at Solihull Moors a couple of weeks ago for a 2pm U23 fixture. I put behind closed doors as i was told no spectators allowed. At least the away league game against Fulham is at Craven cottage on a Friday night. You could always give the Motspur Park ground a ring.

If it was an evening game then I'd probably take you up on your advice, but 2pm on a work day is a no-go.

As i thought they would do the Royals fielded a young side at Fulham yesterday. Holmes,East,Loader and Barrett to name 4 were not involved.
