Albert Spangler 1-3

I'm so happy that the 'Cocker Spangler' is going for West Ham to win 0 - 3. Up to the point of seeing this, I was a little concerned. Now Reading to win, and bring back the memories of last Season. Reading will once again show how Champions play. Reading WIN 5 - 1.

Think the Tubby Isaacs IX'll be up for a bit of argy-bargy against us after recent indignities (sockgate and Boleyn cuffing of last season, previous whippings of 'cockney' Pardew's sides when they came back here, and of course, the 6-0 stroll against a papiermache side of very weak wattage).

Under Allardyce they have a bit more spine now he's drained the pus from all that 'academy of football' bullshit and made them a bit more like the faceless northern dross he used to drag around the Hairband League in the ugly form of Bolton Wanderers. Especially with that sneering little weevil Nolan in the team.

Think the only way we'll win is if they exhibit their regular tendency to implode. To me a draw looks more likely under very current form, but the fixture carries a bit of baggage so I could see the Essex mob getting a win if they keep their self-discipline.

We need to be a bit nasty for this one instead of so respectable and to get in their faces. If there's one thing that you could always say about West Ham it is that they don't like it up 'em.

No 'whipped dogs' attitude and we'll get something out of the game. It was a really anodyne game in the corresponding fixture last season until they did their customary dummy spitting and lost their rags. But if we roll over? It'll be more like the defeat we suffered against them last time in this division when no-neck Bellamy ran rings round our full-backs for fun.

Hopefully BMc will have the boys sufficiently blood hungry for this one. For some reason it's always nice to get one over on these 'muggy c*nts', as they would say.

Draw, probably. 1-1. Quite a few cards and ruckus.

If McDermott plays a 4-4-2 formation then I think we could have an interesting game and maybe get a 3-2 win (Keep the good form against West Ham), otherwise if he goes 4-5-1 again we could be in for a boring sitter and have another 0-0.

I'm hoping after the Man City game with 4-5-1 that McDermott doesn't decide to use this tactic with every game, because it could be a very boring second half to the season :(

urz13 I would love to see:

---------------------Federici-----------------

Cummings---Pearce---Mariappa---Harte

Kebe-----Karacan------Guthrie---McAnuff

----------------Robson-Kanu----------------

-----------------Pog or ALF------------------

You'd love to see another abject performance from McAnuff ??

Let's see if BM has the balls to end his love-in with McAnuff and drop him ...may give him the kick up the ar@e he's needed for a while

Give Pearce the captaincy and HRK/McLeary the opportunity to make that wing position their own ...

Hoping McDermott actually see's the bigger picture for once and drops Harte, McAnuff and legsofwood but the chance of that happening is similar to Reading winning the premier league.

My team to face West Ham- 4-2-3-1= Federici, Gunter, Pearce, Mariappa, Shorey, Karacan, Guthrie, Kebe, McCleary, HRK, ALF.

Beat them with speed and controlling the game. Win 2-0.

McDermott team: 4-4-2 (I have a sneaky suspicion he will go back to it)= Federici, Gunter, Pearce, Mariappa, Harte , Kebe, Karacan, Legsofwood , McAnuff , Pog, Hunt.

Hoof. Draw 0-0, not good enough. "We move on"

Lets hope this game is full of surprises.

very true West Ham's defence has been pretty stingey this sseason with 6 clean sheets so with the way Sam sets his team out in away games I certainly would not be expecting to see an entertaining game of football.h

Well, I'm not sure anything could live up to the feast of entertainment that we have been treated to in the first half of the season.

Another competitive game, short on quality but plenty of endeavor.

Reading 0-0 West Ham

It won't happen but would like to see this tried.

......................Federici

Mariappa.....Morrison....Pearce........Harte

..Kebe.......Tabb......Karacan.......McAnuff

........................Hunt

........................ Alf

We have 2 decent left backs no right back good enough for this level. If Mariappa can play there and Morrison is fully fit why not give this a try? I thought Guthrie did OK against Swansea but we have to give ourselves every chance of getting 3pts from this winnable home game or spending fortunes in the transfer window would be pointless. Hunt can play a deeper role effectively and offers a greater threat in the air.

We should be aiming to get in front then shut up shop with Guthrie and Pog replacing the front two.

We have to stick with 451 whilst we remain in the Premier League. We are 2 decent players away from making it work
