Cureton's Volley Pog MOTM again!

Is it too late for him to get in the running for POTS?

I wud l0l

If he finishes the season on 12+ goals he'll absolutely deserve it and almost certainly get it. Competition not exactly strong for the third season running though, sadly.

For what it's worth, Whoscored.com have MotMs as:
Norwood - 5
Obita, Hector & Cox - 2
Pearce, Williams, Murray, Cooper, Pog & Cummings - 1

No Federici? Can you be any more clueless today??

More to football that scoring goals Ian.

Go clean your teeth, freshen up and comeback when you are able to make some sense!!

They aren't my choices you moron.

Tbf to Ian he's not the only one ignoring Federici. Peepee the Horseboy and Mmmficklemuch were lolling away when it was suggested about a month ago that Feds has been player of the season so far.

Don't think its fair to say Ian hates Feds either, he has just pointed out your blind love for him in the past.

I make fun of others blind hate for him. Federici like most footballers has weaknesses but he also has strengths and people like Ian seem determined to ignore those strengths no matter how well he plays.

Anyone notice Alex McCarthy looking decidedly miserable whilst sitting on the QPR bench sampling the 'amazing' Loftus Road atmosphere?

Ian wasn't quoting his own stats, but some websites' stats .... so no point criticizing him

FWIW, HNA's MOTM stats:

1. O Norwood 7 13.7%
2. A Federici 2 8.9%
3. N Blackman 3 8.9%
4. S Cox 3 8.9%
5. M Hector 2 7.4%
6. P Pogrebnyak 2 7%
7. A Pearce 3 6.7%
8. J Mackie 3 6.3%
9. G Murray 3 4.8%
10. J Cooper 2 4.4%
11. C Gunter 1 3.7%
12. A Kuhl 2 3.3%
13. G McCleary 1 3.3%

I think that reflects that nobody has stood out consistently. We've had players go through great 3-5 game spells (Blackman and Mackie being the best examples) but the best performances have been spread quite thinly. Norwood's come the closest to maintaining a steady level of performance, but he'd be a fairly uninspiring choice for POTS (and Clarke doesn't seem to rate him anyway).

Worryingly, Williams is still on 1.1% of the overall vote - the same as Ferdinand, Guthrie, Cummings and Akpan.

I didn't even know that existed 30 mins ago.
Can't vote for Williams vs Sheff Weds now as the poll closed. :x

Will try to remember it for the next home game.

No offence, but that's pretty poor for a man that has spent as much time on the site as you.

I'm a creature of habit, never really read the site reviews, just the boards.

I certainly won't be voting for him. I still remember his moaning a few years back as he was letting in soft goals left, right and centre.

This team under Clarke is starting to impress me. Everyone played well, but Hector was outstanding and was my motm.

Pity about the fighting outside the stadium as we left. Oldest hooligans I've ever seen !

It's player of the season, not seasons!

Also it was more his other half who had a high profile moan once!

And difficult for him to be moaning about not being played and letting in soft goals at the same time!

Fair fcuks. Although that was closer to two months ago and he's been pretty exceptional since then.

I did, and do, rate McCarthy as the better keeper, but he gets no sympathy for me now he's 'living the dream' at QPR. Too many players, especially keepers, happy to go to 'bigger' clubs as reserves rather than play week in week out. I guess Ashdown was too long ago for McCarthy to heed a lesson or two in that respect.

One full season with us as first choice, and he's made 2 appearances this year.

See also Jack Butland.
