Ian Royal Fernandez is the only real weak link so far, though I'd like to see more from Piazon, Hurtado and John. If Alex doesn't get up to speed in the first 10 minutes of the second half I'd whip him off for Norwood, who i think could pick Everton off with the pace of Hurtado, Blackman, John and even Piazon ahead of him.

For me hes looked quite good. Simple 1 touch passes, hastling his players, running back to close down. Not sure where hes put a foot wrong for you?

He's lost the ball casually in possession three or four times causing us danger and played some quite loose passes. Tshibola is almost ruling that midfield on his own at times. I don't know how you're watching, but it's even been highlighted regularly on the stream I'm watching.

Sure Tshibola gave away the ball as casually as possible to McCarthy which led to one of theyre best counter attacks of the game?

I actually think Fernandez has been decent. First ten minutes he have gave the ball away a couple of times but after that he's been tidy and won the ball back well. Threatened to undo the Everton defence at one point with a dangerous pass for John as well.

Good on Blackman. I don't understand the need now to desperately look for moments when he could have passed or where he gave the ball away. Isn't it enough for the moment to enjoy a player who has improved significantly, is rising to the challenge this season and is scoring the decisive goals to get us the points/wins.

If he loses form he will undoubtedly lose his place in the team to one of the many forwards. That's why Clarke has brought in so many top players.

Tshibola is giving Barkley a midfield lesson.

Tshibola is immense - he really is dictating the play, first midfielder we've had like that for years....

I know we are fairly early on in the season but the goal keeper position is a real issue.

I can give Al Habsi the benefit of the doubt for the first but he really should have saved the second.

Looks like Al Habsi is a major liability - three horrible gaffs in two cup games. I'd play Bond over him from now on.

That's twice we've discussed Tshibola being awesome this half and twice we've conceded whilst doing so..

Tshibola is rubbish. Boo, hiss! ......

Great performance from the boys tonight. Impressive and it's not over yet but I can see us going to January sales for a keeper.

yes. Once. As i was typing the original post. Otherwise Tish has bossed it. Alex having a better second half.

Al-Habsi unconvincing on either goal, but no clear error for me.

We've had enough opportunities to win this but couldn't quite make it safe.

Hope Hector feels like a tit for deliberately conceding that freekick. Not convinced it was needed.
