'Giving up' 60 seconds of my life to show some respect to the owners of RFC as it is something very important to them doesn't seem too much at all.

Some people would literally moan about anything.

It's culturally important to the people who own the club, they do things differently. They're using what they have to demonstrate their profound sorrow, we the fans are just tools. The club is their thing, I'm a guest in their stadium so will be respectful.

I suppose this is the point - the supporters are merely guests these days and the club is run to the owner's tune. We're not a fan owned community club by a long chalk, but we're far from alone in that.

If that upsets anyone then this probably isn't the club for them. Otherwise, put up and shut up (for just one minute).

It's understandable that our Thai owners are pulling out all the stops to 'respect' their monarchy given that Thais who don't get chucked in prison for 30 years.

They pretty much all seem to love him like the deepest Princess Diana devotee over here used to, if not more. Having been there, it didn't seem forced in any way.

I don't think Leicester had a minute's silence last night, but I think that might be because such things are banned at Champions League games. They were definitely banned from wearing black armbands.


The net result though is that it happened, it was impeccably observed, and if some people wished to stay on the concourse or think about something else for 60 seconds, that's their prerogative. It's not something that's likely to happen too often.

Leicester players wore black armbands in their game at Chelsea at the weekend and the club is in official mourning.... presumably as much for their title as for the king.

At worst we are paying guests and therefore our thoughts (whether in agreement or disagreement) should be taken into account.

Why do we have to have a minutes silence twice!!!! Normally this time of year we have rememberance for OUR 'fallen'. It seems to me that our owners don't give a toss about our 'FALLEN'. If this happens again for our next home game I will be leaving for the exit.
