Our 3 best players IMO are ;

Sonko
Doyle
Sidwell
(in no particular order)
We are without 2 of them and because of this will struggle. I always feel confident with our regular back four. Bikey is OK but will make mistakes and against Prem opp' that means goals for them. However, as a previous poster said I think if we score first they may find it difficult to lift their game enough.
I also witnessed the pathetic performance at Wigan and would like to see us 'play like we remember that day'. Concern would be that we looked 'tired' that day, 3rd Prem game in a week. Wigan hadn't played midweek and by god it showed. After our FA Cup exploits let's hope the same thing doesn't happen again.

Another potential banana skin ( as were W.Ham and Sheff. U ), so I'll go 1-1 as I did for those games and hope it has the same effect.

Actually Wigan's away form is almost identical to ours and it's their home form that's letting them down and their last 3 away defeats have been against Man U, Portsmouth and Chelsea.

I just hope the lack of away following will not affect the atmosphere generated by the Mad Stad faithful as the team deserve to hear a good noise for everything they've done this season.

Bennett 'available for Wigan clash'

Cork City FC last night reached agreement with Premiership club Reading for the transfer of defender Alan Bennett.

The agreement means Bennett will be available for selection for Reading's Premiership
fixture with Wigan Athletic tonight, according to the eircom League club.

In a statement, the club said: "Cork City wishes to thank Alan Bennett for his wonderful dedication and service to his home town football club and conveys its congratulations and best wishes to Alan as he embarks on this exciting phase of his career.

"Whilst Cork City FC is extremely sad at losing a player of the calibre of Alan Bennett, it has to be stated that Alan’s ambition to perform in the FA Premiership was the pivotal aspect of the decision.

"In adhering to the confidentiality clause contained within the agreement, Cork City will not be issuing any details of the contract signed with Reading FC."

Is it really possible for Bennett to play tonight?

Get an early goal and Wigan could crumble given their current run. So, on that basis - if we score in the first 20 - Reading 3 Wigan 1

If not, Reading 1 Wigan 1.

From Wigan website:

Reading have god options up front in Kitson, Lita and Long, and either pairing will cause problems. Steve Sidwell is Readings playmaker and will have to be watched.

I know they're special but........

I have one of my all too regular bad feelings about this one, their slide has to end eventually.

I would take a draw
