Kieron1981 i think the captains armband needs to be handed over sooner rather than later....

how about

Murty passed to Ingimarson or hunt for about 2 years then on to Pearce,

that will give pearce aboput 2-3 years to get up to speed, remember hes so young he has all the time in the world

Pearce doesn't seem to need all the time in the world or even 2 years. Michael Duberry, Champions League Semi Finalist, was being told where to stand by him. He may be 19, but he's got the brain of a thirty nine year old.

Oliver Kahn.

Hunt as a captain, what a joke, mr give me a huge pay check so I can turn sh1t and stop caring. Then spend money on getting my brother in or I'm leaving you for Sunderland. F*ck that for a laugh, much rather see harps as captain and when he's old enough, Pearce. I would say USA for captaincy but he's getting on a bit now..

I could hear what he was saying actually... it was stuff like "shoulder, SHOULDER!" and" Get in front of him!". Positioning stuff, and the others were listening to him.

TheRealRoyal As much as i love Hunty i cant see him being a great captain for the club.

We need someone who really keeps the team together under pressure, whereas hunt is a bit to scatty.

Marcus for me.

i do really admire marcus clapping the fans every single match... he shows real class and i know he will end his career with reading

but can you really captain from the goal???

Hahnemann doesn't even command his own box, let alone the rest of the pitch!
