I'm not sure I can nominate Friday and Death seeing as they were both retired by the time I was born. Heard so much about them though. Legends. Likewise I barely remember McGhee's era and if I nominate Dariusz, Hislop, Nogan, Osborn or Gilkes it'll be from what other people have said. I only really started supporting in 99/00, so he's my list from my first 10 or so years as a Reading fan.
In my era, Caskey, Forster and Cureton were favourites back in the old Div 2 and Fozzy a bit in Div 1 too. He was immense in the 02/03 season, could have been a Premiership player for that season only. However they shouldn't be nominated. They'd struggle to get 1 vote each.
Parkinson should be for his role as an inspirational captain who led us to promotion who battled and gave his all to the club for 10 years.
Little should be because he was, quite simply, the most skillful player I've ever seen in a Reading shirt and was untouchable in 05/06
Murty was our most successful ever captain.
Shorey was class for the majority of his Reading career. Shame about 07/08, but he's still definitely worth nomination. I felt so proud seeing a Reading player in an England shirt.
Sidwell has never been replaced and was an integral part of our best ever team. He shone as a great player for years before we hit the heights, and was brilliant in 06/07.
Doyle - What a bargain! He's been a delight to have at the club.
That's probably it from my memories. Kitson possibly. However I need to be 30 or 40 years older in reality.
