Probably exactly what he doesn't want for that exact reason.

Samuelson thought the club was available for £1 recently, and now Vibrac want what they deem the club to be worth. I'd have thought Phoenix and whoever else is interested would rather pay next to nothing and then pay the debts off.

tbf it'd be a bit of a coincidence if the value of the club was the exact same as its net debt, wouldn't it?

True, but it could also make the purchase process a lottery as other interested parties may come back into the frame. Knew that Vibac wanted more, just not sure what they whole equity thing was about.

the bridging loan was specifically to prevent administration, all the interested parties on both sides were for a club NOT subject to admin and all that that entails.

However the point about Vibrac putting up the price is likely to be more that at least one offer includes the Boris and SJM writing off their debt. (not that I believe Vibrac are an interested in the sale past getting their money back Therefore it maybe about who is going to pay Vibrac which is holding up proceedings.)

having said that from my understanding the Vibrac/Samuelson axis of evil being peddled is BS.

loyalroyaldaz But im not trying to prove or claim anything.......
BTW do you have the accounts from 2013-2014 or only the ones that were published end of June 2013?

I'll give you two guesses, see if you can get it right. Shouldn't be hard, it's all on here.

That'll be a no then becuase they are not published until the end of this month.

Got it in one.

If Samuelson remains at this club things will get even worse in the future. It is a good job we still had J M here, or administration would probably already have happened and the points deduction also happened last season.

That would have been a good thing - we anyway missed out on promotion and we were safe from relegation ....

Last few tweets from CW..

Charles Watts @charles_watts · 34m
Some interesting #readingfc takeover developments.

Charles Watts @charles_watts · 33m
Understand that Phoenix, an American hedge fund, have offered Vibrac £5m plus the debt.

Charles Watts @charles_watts · 31m
But I also understand that the Football League are looking into Vibrac's role at #readingfc. Not happy at their role at the club.

Charles Watts @charles_watts · 30m
Seems like Vibrac may have breached Football League regulations by controlling things at #readingfc without passing a fit and proper test.

Phoneix are of course, heavily involved with Chris Samuelson #readingfc

One can only hope the Phoenix hedge fund isn't anything to do with this one. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/05/ ... ME20130530

If we get taken over by a hedge fund, then we are basically oxf*rd.
