Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell is in talks with Reading after the two clubs agreed a £1.5m fee to bring the midfielder back to his former club.

Another midfielder, yet one of only 3ex players I'd welcome back

Reading have been given assurances that their application for Category 1 status is on track. They hope to have it formalised over the summer.

Reading have already started looking to utilise their Category 1 status by bringing in players from clubs with Category 2 and 3 status.

Their first signing will be 15 year old Icelandic youngster Ragnar Mr Lrusson who signed for Brighton on a scholarship in April and is due to link up with the side over the summer.

John Morling is said to be "furious" that Reading have been able to poach this player and is doing everything possible to stop the move happening, but Reading have convinced Lrusson that he could be the "next Gylfi Sigurdsson". They have offered him a two year scholarship with a further one year professional deal.

 Are we deliberately trying to wind up Brighton to the point they implode?

Middlesbrough are looking at former Reading midfielder Kalifa Cisse, the Mailian powerhouse has been in great form in the MLS

If true very pleased for him, always liked him in his time here.

Reading FC Chairman Anton Zingarevich has finally reached an agreement to buy Lechia Gdansk for 8m. Zingarevich entered talks to buy the Polish side in June last year but initially cooled interest when Chairma Bartosz Sarnowski leaked details of Zingarevich's interest to the media.

Talks the last few months have been promising with Zingarevich looking for ways to expand his sporting investments. He has also just finalised the purchase of Russian hockey team Atlant.

Through ownership of Lechia, Zingarevich is looking to bring Lechia to the forefront of the Ekstraklasa whilst using the polish team to support the growth of Reading Football Club. Thames Sports Investments, owned by Zingarevich but subsidised heavily by his father Boris Zingarevich (worth over £3. 4bn) will be investing heavily in the infrastructure at Lechia as well as increasing the playing budget. He wants to promote the intake of youth players, send developing players from Reading to Lechia, and vice versa, to experience a different league and use the polish side to help acquire European travel documents for talented players from outside of Europe.

Reading will be sending a team of coaches to work with Lechia's youth team as well Lechia staff coming to experience the infrastructure at Reading.

Additionally, Reading have sent scouts out to partner team Ocean City who are hosting trials for a select group of American youth players. Reading have recently brought goalkeeper Aleksandar Gogic who was recommended to them by Ocean City, and feel that there is untapped potential out there.

US men's u17 captain Shaq Moore recently spent time with the Berkshire side and an agreement is in place for him to link up with the team again later in the year.

Reading FC have signed a partnership with Formula 1 Racing Team Marussia.

Reading join QPR (Caterham) and Chelsea (Sauber) in linking Football with Formala 1 to expand their brand.

Samuel's 19. Clayton's to replace Ikpeazu, one of that regulations of eppp is that each club must have at least one 18 year old striker on their books.

Peter Odemwingie is in talks with Reading Football Club after WBA and Reading agreed a £2.2m fee.

Initial talks are said to have gone well but some minor details still need to be agreed. Reading want the deal done by the end of this week ready for their Portuguese training camp in mid-July.

great player. i find it difficult to believe he would be willing to drop to the championship though. also not sure if i want him after the way he behaved during the january window with the QPR debacle.
