Gordons Cumming No disrespect to Chris but I wont be clapping.

There's too much of this nonsense.

:|

Its a clap, for a player who won POY for us and battled with his illness whilst still giving his all

What point is not clapping, proving?!

What does clapping prove?

I've nothing against MS or Chris Armstrong, but this continuous public outpouring of emotion at the drop of a hat. We've already done this once.

I'm with TFF on this.

Clapping is a mark of respect, and I 100% respect CA and all that he has done! For a sufferer of MS to carry on playing football after diagnosis shows how comitted he was to the cause which was in this case reading football club! The easy option would have been to pack it all in, but he wanted to be a part of our team and for that i have massive respect for this man!

I personally find is a complete joke that you would not join in with this, but at the end of the day it is your choice and if you dont respect CA then that is fair enough.

It has nothing to do with CA, MS or anyone.

This need for public applause or silence has become an epidemic. Are we to do this every time we play Sheffield Utd now?

Someone said he doesn't want a fuss, so why give it to him?

Nice to get a :| from Rouge though.

I probably will clap...............

People are actually talking about drawing a line, about when you should show a bit of respect for someone who carried on fighting to maintain a career at the top of his profession, despite a diagnosis which for many would mean that they would not even be able to carry out everyday tasks in their daily life?

All you're being asked to do is stand up and applaud for a minute. People are going on as if they're being asked to give something tangible, which says a lot more about them then it does about anything else.

They should have made tickets a couple of quid more expensive and donated the uplift to an MS charity. I suspect Armstrong, as modest and unassuming as he is, would have preferred that.

I'd rather put a fiver in an MS collector's tin than (OK, as well as) applauding someone who isn't there to hear it.

Let's hope RFC have invited the MS Society to rattle their tins outside the ground.

and just for clarity

do we start clapping at 15.02 or 15.03?
