PlasticRoyale Amazed it took 71 minutes for Lucas or Mascherano to get booked.

Utd midfield lack any steel without Fletcher/Hargreaves

Amazed that it took so long for Vidic to get booked.
Man Utd lacked any steel period and I just love the arm-flapping that Rooney and Fergie do when things don't go their way.

Victor Meldrew
No Fixed Abode Don't get all excited. Whilst United bounce back next week, Liverpool will probably drop points again. This is what makes Champions.

Man Utd have every chance of bouncing back and doing their normal bullying of the lesser sides, they play Blackburn who have shipped 13 goals in their last 3 games.
They really did lack any invention today and based on this game only we should worry about Ferdinand playing for England,Carrick has no chance of making the World cup squad and I do think it is time for Giggs and Scholes to consider retirement .
It just shows how much Ronaldo carried them especially over the past 2 seasons.
Chelsea even at this early stage do look like champions.

Lesser sides such as Arsenal, Spurs and Man City?

Yep,3 good examples of sides that can be bullied whereas Chelsea and Liverpool and Bolton for example stand up to them and what happens when people stand up to bullies?
The bullies don't like it.

Losing this one game doesn't make Utd mugs but it did show up once again their obvious weaknesses.

The fact a team like Utd are now so relient on Darren Fletcher to be their ball winning midfielder shows what state they are are currently in.

LOLz @ fergie for claiming the ref got Vidic's second yellow wrong.

 don't think there is any arguement bout that one but his point was that the first one Torres got up and played on, the ball then went out for a throw and then Vidic was cautioned. Personally i feel it was a booking as it wasn't his first offence

Yes let's not lose sight of the fact that persistent foul play earns a yellow just as much a one "proper" foul.

So sometimes you'll see players getting booked for something innocuous just because its the 3rd/4th/5th time they've done it.

Utd beat Bolton 2-1 and have only played Chelsea in the Charity Shield (which ended in a draw)

Big deal-did you see the spawny win V Bolton?
Bolton stood up to them and came agonisingly close to getting something out of the game.
BTW City were drawing with them at the end of reasonable time-the boy Michael got the winner only when City had gone home to bed.

Absolutely right about persistent foul play and one player who would get away with it more than most was Steve Bruce.

Doesn't look like Reading will win either.
