John Peel From Tabb:

Jobi was grabbed by the throat so Jobi grabbed the guy's throat back.

Then a steward punched one our coaching staff!

And he asked for the ref to have a look at the TV replay, so very small possibility that the red could be rescinded!

i_kingsley i will be watching from over here

will have to set the alarm clock for that as its a morning start for me after working nights
or i may just stay up and have a few beers before the game

To restate, kickoff will be 8:15 AM Eastern U.S. time

As of now, FSC have it scheduled for a same-day delayed screening on Sunday the 7th from 5:00 PM Eastern

That's believable, given that they've got a contract with Serie A, and those matches kick off at 9:00 AM; more to follow in the TV thread

BTW, this just in: McDermott sez in postmatch interview that a steward apologised to him

We'll be launching a complaint to the FA I hope.

Thanks for the post.

may have a chance for appeal then.

as for the steward he should never be allowed to tango again and may face criminal charges

Sigurdsson curled in superbly from 25 yards to win it and there was a melee at the end, with Jobi McAnuff sent off.

The red card was shown after the final whistle, with players, stewards and officials all involved as McAnuff was shown red by referee Lee Mason for violent conduct.

Don't mind going out to Villa. Proper good side. But I reckon we'll give 'em a game at the Mad Stad.

Does seem to be very strange. I'm sure the ref will recomend it be recinded

Just one small historical concern..

This is starting to remind me of the time when a Reading backroom boy made good..quietly spoken..popular ..

was made up to manager and took his team all the way to Wembley only to be relegated...

but the team was oxford so i didn't really mind then.
