It's the way football has gone in having to lock players down based on potential - gone almost are the days where you can reward players for their abilities. They are gone by then. Sterling in part an example - sure he wanted to win stuff, but Liverpool wanted to pay him 'only' £100k a week, and City offered him 50% more. Had Raheem been on more than £30k a week already Liverpool might have stood a chance of keeping him. Hence Rashford being sorted out a new £15k a week contract on the back of 180 minutes of football.

Sterling would have gone regardless. He wanted to win trophies and since his move he's got one already.

Cracking strike from Kenedy and a well taken goal from Diego last night.

Traore started - good to see youth getting some game time.

No corrugated tin in site. We're certainly upping the levels when it comes to Stadium design. 8)

Isn't that roof design going to cause problems in heavy rain? Either that or they must be building some of the biggest gutters in history.

I'm an expert on large gutters.

Wimbledon Centre Court has a similar roof design. It allows more light in that a normal pitched football stand roof design.
