I think this sums it up pretty well to be honest at the moment.

One thing ... it implies Stoke are paying Moore's wages but thought the deal was they continue paying Ince and us Moore, right?

Surely must have already been posted; but ‘Bunch of Amateurs’ on YouTube…
Marc White, disillusioned fan who has created something very special.

I watched it initially because one of the players is the son of a good friend of mine.

Dorking Wanderers started initially in Crawley and District League Division 4; playing on a terrible pitch; eqiuivent of Reading and District League Div 4 or 5 when I played in 1 and Prem, 30 years ago.

But they just kept progressing; they were like Peppard were in those days but just kept going - brilliantly led by Marc White.

13 promotions in 19 years - now have an excellent squad for tier 6 - top of National South; hopefully will go up this year - fantastic set up- excellent coaching team - masses of volunteers and a great little stadium with room to expand - play in 4G pitch - they just have it right.

They play really good football and players want to play for them because of that.

They are now getting almost 2000 fans each week (capacity 3000).

I’d have Marc White managing RFC tomorrow - but he’d never take the job!

He is the manager and owner at Dorking; his team talks are legendary and if you’ve not watched it; and it’s new to you; you’re missing one of the best ‘fly on the wall’ series about the running of a football club ever - whether on YouTube or anywhere else.

It’s riveting and when you see how things could be done - you see the apathy and negativity and the mundane drabness at our Club right now - and the drivel talked about games before and after by our players, our Manager and the media too - it’s so tiresome.

Sounds interesting. I need to check it out.

Of course most managers are ex top flight players but I wonder how many absolute geniuses we're missing who aren't. .

Dan Lincoln - keeper at Dorking Wanderers and also a first class County wicketkeeper.

Was with our youth set up - can throw one handed, comfortably into the opponents half!; to the edge of the opponents penalty area!
Brilliant for breaks from opponents corners.

He throws it like a discus!

Interesting what he says about the style of football in our youth set up…

Being similar to the way Dorking play; and I have seen them play; movement, speed, width, crosses, aggressive, focussed, play through the press and then use width and yet do it all with calmness and can be versatile; changing formations but still keeping the ball and getting at opponents.

Excellent head coach (Marc white) and a brilliant coaching team around him (the most effective recruitment policy, is always to try and recruit people better than you) and Marc White is always looking for better people and the Club are on a mission.

So what happens to our playing system/style when players come into our first team? It’s certainly doesn’t continue.

They certainly do not play like the team in our youth system; as described by Dan Lincoln.

Our first team are slow, square, no aggression, no movement, no pace, no width, no calmness,….

Dorking have a way of playing that runs through the Club. We are supposed to be a much more professional set up.

Our facilities are; they are top notch but those who inhabit them; are not, right now and our ‘way of playing’ is really not great; that is if we even have such a thing.

On a positive note all this miss management has been going on for years and it’s now in the open which is the first step to resolving our problems.

I’d honestly take League 1 football and knowing the crooks have left the club next season than another year of how we are being run with the same people in place.

First steps must be terminating any links to agent led advisors and bringing in a director of football to establish a longer term plan.
