Nice, ignore the football debate first with comedy, then personal insults.

So because he failed to go for ONE header he is a disgrace.

Every player in the country must be a disgrace if that is your criteria.

No wycombe, it was an example, summing up his lack of effort in general, i'd probably bore people to death if i outlined his lack of effort in every game.

I don't think your wrong about his effort sometimes but calling him a disgrace and bringing money the money you paid into it is laughable.

So yuo missed the last two home games then? I can remember one in particualr on Saturday when he tracked back about 50 yards to put in a tackle on a Preston player who was charging towards the penalty.

It was an absolute disgrace that he did that.

I suspect you would.

He's a winger, we've got an 'effort' winger in Hunty. Take a look at him and come up with an angle to slate himm for.

kebe isn't in the side for 'effort'. He's there because he's pacy, tricky and does stuff that is really hard to defend against. He doesn;t do it enough, or consistently enough, but I'd say slating him for lack of effort is like slating Duberry for lack of dribbling skills - it's not really part of the job description (not that giving 100% effort is a BAD thing, it's just the wrong thing to have a go at kebe for)

I'd also say I though kebe did pretty well helping Kelly out against Wolves....

Fair enough. I play birmingham amatuer league football and you see most players put more effort than he does and they're all paying to play not being paid. So probably naively i think players getting paid to play should put in their all every match when they have thousands of fans travelling miles and spending lots of money to support them.

Yeah what he should have done when signing his multimillion pound contract is say "Na thanks Steve, thats a bit too much, can we lower the wage a bit because I won't be like every other winger in England and win every header"

I played local football too. We had a brilliant winger - probably the best player in the league (and we were Div 1 with 2 divisions above us). Some games he just wasn't interested, others he'd get wound up and just want to fight people. But over the course of the season he scored and created loads of goals because he was fast and skilful and really hard to defend against. We all worked a bit harder to cover for him on the days when he just moped up and down the touch line becasue we knew the chances were if we got him the ball he do stuff with it.
Sometimes I think you just have to accomodate players like that. That's why you have the Harpers, who run and run and cover the others and never shirk the workload.
I pay my ticket money to see players do stuff that I can;t see at park level. I can find a decent level of amateur football where there are loads of hard working average players putting in the miles and the tackles but I want more than that at our level.

Have you ever seen some of the top players play, like Berbatov?

In my opinion Kebe puts in as much or more effort than many of them. Are they a disgrace to their shirt too?

Ah but is he as good as Berbatov? Le tissier was a lazy git but he pulled off amazing skills and i'm not sure if Kebe is that good, to be that lazy.

He doesn't get paid as much as Berbatov, neither do his team mates.

So now it is OK to not put effort in as along as the player is good enough.

Nice moving of the goalposts there.......

Well Kebe is better than all these amateur footballers, including yourself, that you have been going on about so on that score I reckon it is OK for him not to run around like headless chicken all match.

Well my point is money has nothing to do with it and neither does comparing him to Berbatov. Every player is different, and every Reading player is in the team to do a job. If you have been to most games this season you'd know that Kebe doesn't win every header or work as hard as Hunty but you'd also see he has pace no one else has and the ability to create something from nothing.

And that is waht he could be criticised for - he doesn't do it enough.

But even so he's not a 'disgrace'

Agreed. He is probably the most frustrating player to watch sometimes, but can also be the most exciting. At the end of the day Coppell isn't an idiot so why would he keep playing him if he is a disgrace.

Okay, he's not a disgrace but I think Glenn Little if possible to sign on loan would put us in a better postion to get promoted. Which was my original point.
