I'm not sure Klopp is in a great place - we don't really know the status of any sale of the club and the Gakpo signing suggests that there are some funds, but I think Klopp is operating with his hands tied a bit. Must kill him to see Chelsea piling in for the likes of Enzo Fernandez, supposedly at over £100m.

From the little I've seen about the same as Nunez.

Plenty of flashy promise but little to no end product.

Don't mind Nunez. He's certainly raw, but I think there's promise there. 5 goals in 15 appearances in a team that's massively underperforming isn't too shabby.

Nunez so far has 15 games, 5 goals, 2 assists.

Comparing to another flop, Timo Werner.....

After 15 games he had 4 goals and 5 assists.

Werner got progressively worse whereas Suarez got better and so might Nunez who is still a young man.
Firmino struggled in his first season but what a player he became, likewise Ian Rush so all is not lost after a few months in the English game for the lad IMHO.

A lot of attention on Nunez and Gakpo, is it potentially worth playing them where they play best and where they became known? Nunez has started playing down the middle on a consistent basis, but Gakpo since he joined has mainly played through the middle bar the weekend. Just get them into the positions where they are best.

I think one of the biggest problems is that the full backs don't play as high anymore, that's why Liverpool are so vulnerable on the counter attack through the middle. It just leaves Fabinho/deepest midfielder isolated and too easy to play around.

A lot of talk about Bellingham, but I'm not sure he addresses the real issue unless they do want a real change in the way they play. But TAA and Robertson aren't the problem, they aren't ageing players, they are in their prime and a crucial part of Liverpool's success. Nothing wrong with Bellingham, I just think they need to find some younger versions of Henderson and Wijnaldum, with maybe a bit of variation. Someone who can work in the lateral areas of the pitch, Rice would be a better fit.
