I doubt we will get much of a fee, even if he is still under contract, but good luck to the lad. Whenever I've seen him he has showed some ability, but much more suited to League 1 / 2 rather than the PL.

I think he signed a 2 year contract in 2010, and he's now free to leave. I'm not sure we'd see much if anything in compensation.

It's laughable that people say Simon Church is a League 1/2 player, has found his level there etc etc yet this lad could potentially be offered a chance at League 1.

Suffice to say I've more concerns about Church becoming the next 'one that got away' than Nicky Bignall.

Bignall is still injured isn't he? I am presuming, therefore, that the club are looking after him for the next 6 months or so to see that he recovers fully and, presumably, get him set up with a loan if that's possible.
