Looking ahead - October

by RedRum » 29 Sep 2012 21:40

After pretty much being cheated today, all we can do is look only the next month ahead:

6th - Swansea (A)
20th - Liverpool (A)
27th - Fulham (H)
30th - Arsenal (H) league cup 4th round

It doesn't get much easier. We could get 0 points out of that, or if luck is in our favour we could have 9. Swansea and Liverpool away are very hard ties, and fulham aren't exactly relegation candidates. Realistically we need to pick up something at the Liberty stadium next week, 6- point game and all that.

Thoughts on our prospects for the coming month?

Swansea are capitulating, they have lost too many good players, I can see three points there and three more at home to Fulham if we play like we did today. I can't see us getting much change off an improving Liverpool side and I don't really care that much about the Arsenal cup game, I would swap three points for a defeat in that game any day.

We're going to get bonus points for beating Arsenal in the cup?

Swansea haven't scored for 3 games, so just as Spurs hadn't won til they played us, you kinda know what's coming.....

A 10-1 thrashing by Reading will earn bonus recognition by the FA 8)

Well yes I would have said that was pretty obvious...

4 points would do nicely.

7pts

Swansea look like they've pressed the self destruct button so I predict a win there.

Liverpool are suspect in defence, and if we start with Brynjar Gunnarsson on the wing I fancy a point.

Fulham at home is winnable, and could be a similar game to today's battle with Newcastle, but luck will be on our side to secure the win.

Arsenal in the cup... many would say it doesn't matter, but with such a light schedule in the Prem I'll take as many extra games as we can get so would love to see us get a result here.

 I meant that it's fairly possible, rather than having City and United away for example :?

I say 7 points and a possible cup win in a very competitive game.

4 for me
Draw at either Swansea or Liverpool and win against Fulham.

Arsenal? True to our recent history against them - loose
