Farmed out on loan by Reading and warmed the bench for Orient. Righty-ho then.

I'm a big fan of Jake Taylor. Tidy in possession, makes good runs and can finish.

Without his goals early last season we could have finished a few places lower...?

Hope he stays.

He didn't do enough to hold down a place, but he had a knack of being in the right place at the right time to score even when not playing that well overall.

Very under rated IMO does a good job for the team and with the right encouragement could do well for us long term, he wants to play for the club which is a critical factor, not another mercenary journeyman

Not 100% convinced he's good enough, while it's harsh, he couldn't break into the side once Clarke came in and got shipped off on loan to a team that eventually got relegated from League One, he did so poorly that he got dropped and hardly played there either.

Now admittedly he wasn't playing for a great side but it's not exactly a glowing review either, he's in the final year of his contract so unless he really impresses in pre-season I can't see him getting a shot and being released come the summer.

Needs to go out on loan to a passing team as that's his strength - good movement, good feet etc. but not sure he's a fighter like Tshibola.

The sort of player who's ok at everything but not great at anything.

A 21st Century Jerry Williams.

I like the look of the kid, but he's got a lot of competition for places and he's in the last year of his contract. It's make or break for him here this season.

Doubt Jake would want to take the step down in the standard of football though.

Champions League football, so it need not be considered a massive step down for him, but it's always a shame when another young player doesn't make it here. I quite liked him last year, but he wasn't quite good enough for us.

By Champions League football, I presume everyone means an inglorious exit in the qualifying rounds at the hands of a team from some Eastern European backwater.

Taylor's tidy but unspectacular. He's clearly not a left winger, but he is a player who'll put a shift in and play the role you want decently for a few games if you're desperate. A modern Andy Hughes.

I'd like to see him get his chance off a frontman or on the right before writing him off as not good enough, but i fear ww don't play the right way to fit him in and our ambitions are beyond him.

If somebody did offer £750k we should bite their hand off.

Can't see any reason why Celtic would be interested or why anyone would offer more than £250k.
