Interestingly no Moore despite the announcement he's staying, no Aluko at all and what looks like a 4-4-2

Mannone. Yiadom , Ilori, McShane, Blackett, Meyler, Kelly, Meite, Bodvarsson, Bladock, Barrow.

Where is the midfield?

Lack of match fitness I would have thought, probably get a run out Tuesday.

That side has better balance than with Aluko in the side, but agree its very attacking. Barrow and Meite are going to have a lot of tracking back to do.

Er... so Blackett LB, Meite RW and Baldock in the hole.... or

Blackett CB, Yiadom and Barrow wingbacks, Baldock in the hole and Meite and Bod up front.... or

Blackett LB, Meite RW and Baldock upfron with Bod....

Or switch Bod out wide and Meite upfront?

I'm going to suggest that if a team's fans don't have a clear idea of the shape and who will be playing where from the teamsheet, it is not a positive sign.

Forest have spent bucket loads so will be a hard game, think a point somewhere Reading always seem to struggle would be a good return

Aluko’s been dropped/is injured so might be a better balanced side

Moore missing is one of a) him not being “mentally right”, b) perhaps carrying a slight injury or c) just the manager making a difficult decision based on the good performance from Ilori and McShane last week

Would expect Moore back for the league cup though unless it is an injury

Yep. That’s my thought. We will see how Meyer and Kelly cope.

Moore should be match fit having been involved throughout most of our pre season. This looks like Clement deciding not to play him. He is odds on to start on Tuesday

Also, what’s the betting Swift is carrying a bit of an injury and thus only in the bench

Think that Aluko has a knock, Clement has played him consistently, and he had one of his best games last week.

Don't get me started on Moore. Here we are, paying his salary, and he continues to miss games...even tho he was (allegedly) never going to leave in the first place.

Along with Barrow ,Moore is one of our two best players IMHO and if he is good enough to be considered worth £10 million (or £4 million) or whatever amount we turned down for him he has to play now that he is fully committed to the club :?:
This looks a hotch potch of a side , so much so that we have to hope it throws Forest as much as it does us.

Very surprised to see Meite, Baldock and Bod in the line-up together-just keeping fingers crossed that it works-it is a brave selection by Clement and in just under 2 hours' time we will discover if it was foolhardy or a touch of genius.

Early days yet. Good to see a line-up with attacking intent. Can Kelly deliver the passes though. Was a poor part of his game last season.

Well he picked up a knock against Derby a little before he was subbed, so that's virtually nailed on.

I think Clement is taking the sensible route with Moore, not just shuffling him straight back in... sends a positive message to everyone including Liam. Bound to give him a game in the League Cup, which is the perfect opportunity to then reshuffle for the best side in a very winnable game at home against Bolton to really kick start the season.

Safe to assume he wasn't involved in the match build up. Now needs to win his shirt back.

It’s one thing Moore not starting but having O’Shea on the bench ahead of a player we value in excess of £10m is frankly ludicrous unless there are fitness issues.

We've 3 centre backs on the pitch.
