from Seol's country

by kyuyeona » 27 Jul 2006 02:01

hello there. this is Seol's fan from Seoul korea.

frankly, i knew nothing about Reading FC before. well, i know the name of the team and players since i've played Championship Manager and Football Manager on PC. i think it's a good opporutnity to get to know such a good tem like Reading.

we were so surprised when we heard the news about Seol's moving to Reading.
Premiership!! Suprs' Lee, Man Utd's Park and another EPL player Seol!!

he is on the first page of newspaper's sports section today.
his 'finishing goal' against milwall. such a superstar.

hope Seoul is going to have his best season ever.
if u got any question on Seol, like his family or his playing style,
feel free to ask. my pleasure to answer for that.

go royals!

Hello kyuyeona. I am a Reading fan who is moving to Seoul in September. Unfortunately the year I decide I would like a break away from England is the same year that Reading will be in the Prem.

I am going to get Seol's name on the back of my Reading shirt before moving to Korea. Do you support a local team in Seoul? Which team should i support; i would really fancy going to a few games, are tickets easy to come by?

Anyway, i have so much research to do in the next month, i may have to message you with questions, if you don't mind. Cheers.

You're very welcome here, kyuyeona. You'll soon find that our site represents every aspect of society from the best to the worst, but I'm sure most of us are delighted to see you join the ranks of the Reading FC fans. Enjoy the season!

I would like to add my welcome kyuyeona. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we are happy to see friends from South Korea on this site. Reading F.C. are a relatively small club who often go unnoticed by the media, but last year, we took the Championship by storm. This year, who knows? Whatever the outcome, it is wonderful that we can attract quality players like Seol. Do you have a star defender and perhaps an attacking midfielder that you could recommend? :)

On one of the Korean news channels,Seols move was headline news on the sportsdesk

Apart from they called us 'reading' (as in a book)

So my Korean boss decided to ring up and correct them to which they made a public and formal apology on air to all Reading fans and citizens of the town

Fantastic

Is this guy genuine? Fairly good English but he starts off by saying 'frankly' and then the very American 'go royals'.

Anyway, welcome to the board.

This is great!!!!!!!!!! We truly are becoming international, aren't we.

We have posters from:

Holland (Hup Holland Hup and possibly one other)
USA (Royal Chicago and a few others, I think)
Japan (japanreading)
Norway (Ideal)
Sweden (Stuart Sweden ?? :? )

and now

South Korea.

Do we have any Icelandic visitors (apart from icelandicstokie)?

it surely depends on WHERE you are going.
if your destination is Seoul, there are 2 teams that you can support.

K-League(name of Korean football league) is consist of 14 teams.

FC Seoul has a stadium in Seoul. boys in black/red like AC Milan.

and the other one is, mentioned above, Suwon Samsung Bluewings.
the cell-phone company Samsung is a mother-company of this team.
oh, FC Seoul's mother-company is LG.
in my guess LG sponsored Leicester City last year.

Suwon is located 30 min from Seoul, not far.
the biggest team in korea. fascinating. personllay i support this team.
Chelsea played against Suwon a year ago for friendly match in korea.

Seoul has 15 million people. 1/4 of total population of kora.
but there is only team in this huge city.

aren't there more than 10 clubs near london?

i go to school in america. that's why my english sounds bit strange.
or maybe this is a matter of my english proficiency.

thanks for welcoming me! i was expecting some racist-like comments.
but there was none!!! thanks again!

go royals again.

No problem. Maybe it's just as well that TBM doesn't post a lot on this forum.
