It's sports 'journalism' like that peddled by Mr. (I love Chelsea) Holt which is the reason I avoid the Mirror.

At the moment, nothing except his report on Arsenal v Man Utd. I'm awaiting his hate filled diatribe on Mr Hunt with anticipation in his column. Certainly Darren Lewis has had a good go in his report on our match at Hunty. Most of his report is based on Hunt's perceived bad behaviour.

I thought it was all totally unjustified. Accusing Hunt of being a fault for getting clobbered and going down theatrically. He held his face and went down slowly, not really an oscar performance.

All I can say is Hunt is rapidly becoming one of my favourite players - his work rate and passion is fantastic, he seems to play every game as its his last, I can put no blame hunts way. In saying this Wally shouldn't have reacted. I think our players were a cut above because they tried to rough us up after this incident but we just got on with it. They tried very hard to get a reaction on the field.

agree. hunt just seems to get on with things, no matter what has happened. his work rate is great recently, not only scoring goals but creating them too!!! No blame should go Hunt's way over saturdays incident! Feel sorry for him, becasue the media are earning him a reputation!! All i can say is keep playing the way you are Hunt - keep up the good work!!

Credit must go as well to all the players after saturday - they could have kicked off (like other teams do) but no they just got on with the game and proved that nothing was going to distract them from the game and earning those 3 points - great goals, but justice was done when Hunty slammed in that 3rd one :)

Allow me to carefully analyse, and respond soberly, to the points made in that article. Ahem:

Darren Lewis, you are kunt.

Thank you and goodnight.

Sadly, the Morror not the only paper to take a critical approach. The Sun today critical of both Hunt and Coppell. Their writer(??), someone called Vikki Orvice, had a go about Hunt's 'attitude', and accused Coppell of double standards. I think I will drop her an e mail and put her right.

Can't believe Darren Lewis says it was Hunt who went to remonstrate with Gillespie and had to be held back when it was clearly Gillespie who approached him. As for being held back that was after Gillespie had punched him and Hunt was clearly peeved at some idiot having the stupidity to hit him a second time after being sent off. I think his team mates thought he would react but I don't think he would. Its just another idiot journo trying to squeeze some sensationalism out of a club that clearly goes out of its way not to attract it
