Bikey is third best tackler with 21 tackles and a 90% success rate! 1st is Reo-Coker and 2nd is Jenas.

Nice one spiderman!

What a weird question, of course we have been playing him.
How else would have got those stats?

Opta stats are, officially, a load of shite.

Football is not baseball or American Football - it really isn't conducive to this sort of statistical analysis.

Is Marcus still one of the best keepers in the Premiership according to the stats?

No, Michael Duberry has taken over that mantle.

I presume that to be a list of the top five keepers to concede goals this season?

We're only playing him against lesser teams to keep his stats up

what a sensible, well constructed comment given that Schmeichal has conceded, wait for it.................................................................all of 2 goals this season!

the opta stats are a complete fallacy, players like Roy keane would always do well in passing stats coz he never made a risky pass in his life and always passed laterally or backwards a maximum distance of 5 yards so people look at his stats and see

passes made 112 wow
pass completion 96% wow

these things must be seen in context

Bikey was great in the Everton game. Admittedly had a poor one at Bolton by all accounts - but had just flown half way round the world and back. I would be surprised if he was not in the team at Sunderland.

How can Bywater be in the top five when he has conceded 10 goals in the last 2 away games?

They get marks for style in getting the ball out the back of the net and artistic interpretation of the attempted saves, so he will always be top.

So on the basis of five games, you agree with these wonderfully accurate stats on how good a goalkeeper is then?
