Fulham to draw
Brum to win
us to draw

head says us and Fulham down

heart says we get last minute winner, Doyle finally scores with his feet for the first time and we all go mental...

Arnie_Pie I love the pessimism on this board.

I don't think it's pessimism. As my Arsenal supporting buddy said yesterday, you've finally dipped below 50-50 for survival. That's a realistic assessment - it's slightly more likely that it'll be us than Fulham given that they have pole-position. Birmingham need a bucket load of help and I don;t expect Blackburn to be offering.

Current probabilities of being safe according to Paddy Power match odds :

Fulham 0.45
Reading 0.39
Brum 0.16

So I vote Reading and Brum.

I think your friend has it right. Before Spurs I thought we were around 60% likely to stay up given the apparent easier run-in of all the strugglers. Now I'd say we are down to around 35% particularly as Fulham have real momentum and belief whilst our lot have neither.

I refer you all to the "put your money where your mouth is" thread. If anyone really thinks we have a 35% chance of survival, they need to lump on us going down, because the bookies see things significantly differently

Royals & Brum. Fulham to be fair to them have taken 10 points from a possible 12 against us & Birmingham & now under Hodgson (after Reading citizen 'agent Sanchez' did his level best of fcuking them up!) - they're actually not a relegation outfit. The likes of Hangeland, Konchesky, Stalteri, Dempsey, Davies, Bullard, McBride, Nevland etc are better players man for man than either us or the Bluenoses possess. Don't expect FA cup final bound Pompey to battle too hard next week. Sorry to sound downbeat from a Reading perspective - just trying to be realistic tbh.
