The debatable point here is that these deals don't happen at five minutes notice, there will have been the normal bartering over a few days of what the buyer wants to pay and what the seller wants to recieve. As I have said on countless other threads that is an urban myth. At no time have Arsenal offered the job of Director of Football to Hammond.
