Swansea Match Thread

by 1871royals » 17 Jan 2009 12:35

Gutted cant be there today, got to revise.

Think this could be a pivotal game, we really can put the pressure on Wolves. A Wolves team that historically is prone to crack.

Psychologically could be crucial that they are playing after us. After the QPR game, i think Shunt said he thought it affected the team knowing the other results. Hopefully can work in our favour today.

C'mon Reading!

Wish i could be there too, didn't finish work till 12 so couldn't go.
I will, however, have the pleasure of watching Maidenhead United v AFC Wimbledon
Of course, receiving updates from the Reading game! 2-0 to the Royals.

Team news?

Coppell just been on radio said will take a couple of extra players along and will not fully decide until late on, also said that Long and Lita coming on late has changed a few things and put pressure on the players a bit, which he sees as a good thing.

A win would put great pressure on Wolves before they kick off tonight.

Would like us to win and wolves to lose or draw
or
Us to win and Wolves to lose.

Either of those results would see us go top Tuesday week when we batter the Wolves at the Mad stad.

unfortunately I think we will lose today.... boohoo.

Shouldn't we also hope Brum lose?
I'd be happy if we drew today rather than lose. Obviously.
let's win!!
Why does everyone think we'll lose today?

I think everyone thinks we will lose, coz we have been going nicely building up to the game with Wovles at Madejski. It would be typical if we relieved the pressure on Wolves by losing.

Im personally a positive person so think we will win. Also no Britton or Bodde, who are two of Swanseas best players

I think we could struggle today, Swansea isn't an easy place to go, and we haven't looked thoroughly convincing away at any of the lower teams yet (Bristol City excluded, but they should be doing better than they are).

What exactly is the difference?

Also, is this not stating the obvious?

If i could choose between Wolves or Brum losing tody, i'd choose Birmingham. As much as i would love t be closer to the top,id much rather cement our position in the top 2. Also if Birmingham lose today, they will have a huge amount of pressure to win their game in hand. If they lose that then its a 2 horse race in my opinion.

Looks like a bench that can change a game as well. Plenty of options to chase a game if we go behind.

Mine is on, but a little jumpy.

Would love a win today - obviously!
Swansea are hard to beat, but then Wolves were looking invincible before we went up there and tonked 'em 3-0.

I'm always optimistic, but a win would be great to put pressure on Wolves/Brum, as they both have games that could probably be rated as 'not so easy'.

I think I agree with SLAMMED that if I had to choose, I'd rather Brum lost today, to put some daylight between us and third place.

Dreamland would be them both losing and us winning. I'd take that!!

G'ARN UUUURRRRRZZZZZ!!!!!!!!
