report
|
Reading's inevitable journey into the Premiership took another big step with another straight forward Championship victory - this time a 3-0 win at Burnley. The home side offered little resistance to Reading, who didn't have to play their best football to win with ease. The victory was marred by injuries to striker Leroy Lita and winger Glen Little, with Lita suffering a broken ankle that will rule him out of action for at least the rest of the season. Lita was stretchered off just before the break after a bad landing. Glen Little lasted only thirty minutes in the second half after being forced to limp off - thankfully his injury is not expected to be so serious.

FANS' POST MATCH OPINION
|
A very comfortable win; again demonstrating the talent in the depth of squad but
naturally marred by the injury to Leroy. Whilst he will now be sidelined as we push
forward to take the Championship title he must take great comfort and satisfaction
that his very important contribution and goals scored have been the benchmark of what
will be remembered as our finest ever season! This is most certainly recognised by his
team mates who will be driven on yet further to achieve especially for him now.
As for us supporters, we are with Leroy and the whole squad all the way and this will be shortly
evidenced by their presence on Mad Stad turf!
