Post Match Fans' Opinion
Think people are letting the players off really lightly and blaming the manager instead. The team we put out, with the right attitude, was good enough to win that game. Sadly, it appears that some of them either think we are safe and are in holiday mode, or know they won't be around next season and so what!
Gunter was nowhere near as bad as some are trying to make out, it was McCleary giving him absolutely no help at all which was where the fault lay on that side of the pitch. Knight alongside him made me nervous each time he was near the ball and the penalty was all his own work. Obita just hasn't kicked on as a fullback and if he wants to be a winger will have to learn how to beat a man and then get in a decent cross. Ake looked class but midfield was very lightweight, Norwood seemed a good buy at first but can see why Huddersfield were happy to get rid. Yak, well, just not the right type of player for our system and felt sorry for Appian. Worked hard, but never really got the type of service he would thrive on.
The substitutions were spot on, so a plus mark for Clarke there. But the obvious fly in the ointment was BFC. They worked hard, put in some cracking corners, and had the man of the match in Perkins. They played for pride and probably as though a weight had been lifted from their shoulders.

I could grow to dislike Clarke quite quickly and easily I fear.
I don't mind duff results with an injury hit squad and our promising youngsters gaining experience. I'm less tolerant when dodgy stop gaps and Chelsea youth products are playing instead.

Absolutely spot on. He's lost me already. Ferdinand (ok not his), Knight, Yakubu, Ake (never going to sign for us in a million years), Appiah (3w ago playing against Leeds U21 and being crap despite scoring a dodgy hat-trick) etc etc.
In the meantime, a decent U21 squad being effectively told to piss off - FFS what is Clarke on?? Would we have been any worse off playing Samuel, Cooper, Kuhl etc and giving them some decent experience instead of taking on the has-beens, never-were's and couldn't be arsed's from other clubs to keep us in 19th spot this season???
Nope, he's toast for me - and don't even start on the FAC run - I mean who have we beaten - really? Derby away aside (when their minds are set on auto promo), nobody worth talking about.
I am DREADING 18th April, I really am. Season cannot come soon enough.
