report
|
James Harper scored his second goal in three games
to send Reading to third in the Championship tonight (Saturday). The midfielder
scored with three minutes remaining of the first half and it proved enough
to give Reading their third win at Bramall Lane in the past three seasons
and give the Royals a much needed clean sheet for the first time this
season. United threw many chances in the first half with former Fulham
striker Barry Hayles wasting the better of their chances and is still
waiting for his first goal for his new club. Neil Warnock was his usual
animated self barking away on the touch line as he tried in vain to get
the best out of a united side that had drawn both of their previous games.
Sheffield Uniteds poor form in front of goal gave Reading their first
clean sheet of the season and will give the team as much confidence as
they prepare for next Saturday's visit of Ronnie Moore's Rotherham Utd.
