Lambert gave us the lead after 15 minutes of the first half with a drive from 30-yards out. Our bright start dissapeared 10 minutes later when Huddersfield drew it level. But two goals in the second half gave us all three points comfortably - and our first win in 6 league games. On 70 minutes Williams scored with a 'chip' and on 79 minutes the in form Sir Jim put his head to the ball as it came over and scored on the far post! Wahay!
Well theres a distinct lack of report for this one at the moment I'm afraid. Still heres some more brief details from Dean Madden who must be after a life time supply of those cheese and onion things...
It was brilliant! Especially Lambert's goal. Gilkes was the star though: he was buzzing. He just kept up the pressure in the second half, leaving their defence dazed, standing in his wake. Amazing. I haven't seen him play like that for ages. How he didn't score beats me. Kerr also put in a good performance. For all that he scored, Sir Jimmy was a but slowed down and I wasn't impressed. But a convincing win at last and the confidence boost we need. Apparently, Geordie has implemented a new training scheme, which is improving the all-round fitness.
