Thought we did Ok tbf, taking into account we were the away team. I'd be surprised if the offside really was offside. Seemed to me to be an "away side offside". Ok, they could have been 3-0 up at half-time but in the second half we matched them. First half was drab but second half we looked bright, sharp, competitive and went close a few times. We seemed to have a problem keeping our headers down. We need a decent winger though. where's that fella, Kebe, when you need him?

Only real complaint is that we still seem to have only half a game in us. Result was as expected, didn't really expect us to really get anything here. Blackman gets unwarranted stick on here but can understand the root of the nonsense - he's not particularly exciting or flash and is behind McCleary, HRK and Obita in my book. But then I only have match days to assess him/them and I guess I could be missing something in training or whatever.

A little concerned that systems and starting elevens are still so changeable - not sure if this is due to fitness, injuries, rotation, adkins still looking for the right way to play or just adkins way, changing things to suit each opponent. If its the latter, can't say I'm a fan of this approach as I'm not sure where the consistency will come from or how players are supposed to settle in and find form.

Overall, another game that has failed to give me much confidence going forward without giving me a lot to really bitch about either - sums up my feelings on the season and Adkins so far, though I'm still happy to give the team and manager more time before I start jumping up and down.

[Leicester] were the better side against Reading and Lloyd Dyer had already forced a good save out of Reading keeper Alex McCarthy before the floodlights went off intermittently as power failures affected the King Power Stadium and surrounding area. But light was restored in time for Leicester to take the lead midway through the first half as Knockaert weaved his way into the area and was brought down by Shaun Cummings, giving referee Michael Naylor no option but to award a penalty, which Nugent despatched for his 12th goal of the season...

Reading had offered little in attack but should have done better early in the second half when Royston Drenthe whipped in a free-kick and Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel denied Kaspars Gorkss from close range. From the resulting corner, Pearce had a header cleared off the line. Dyer ended a 60-yard run with a shot into the side netting as Leicester finished strongly, but a second goal was not needed as the hosts took the three points.

Reading manager Nigel Adkins:
"It was a poor first half hour of the game but in the second half I thought we were the better side. It was disappointing because we came away with nothing. There was always going to be a possibility of the game being abandoned because of the power failures, but well done to Leicester for what they did. People want to see a full game of football."
