report
|
Reading pointed the blame for Saturday's 0-1 defeat at the referee after a series of penalty claims were waved away.
Millwall took the three points with a goal with just eleven minutes to play and the Royals will be disappointed after
having at least two penalties denied. Early in the second half Convey burst into the area and appeared to be bundled
to the floor - but the more certain claims were to follow later in the half. Just before the home side's winner
Kitson appeared to have earned a spot kick after taking the ball past the keeper only to be taken down when we attempted
to run through. In injury time Reading put on plenty of pressure in an attempt to find the equaliser and at last seemed
to have won a penalty when Sidwell was fouled inside the area - the referee was surrounded but the only result was a
Hughes booking.
